New York City's Lower East Side was plagued by an outbreak of zombie-ism last Sunday. Even more odd than the undead's gruesome appearance was the monsters' objective of fighting world hunger. That's right -- zombies
crawled through the streets to promote a canned food drive for the homeless. We can only guess the macabre beings wanted to get these poor folks nourishment before eating their brains.
We sent two of our most courageous photographers to capture the carnage. The images they returned with were often terrifying, but also sometimes disturbing due to the fact that a few of the zombies were, frankly, seductive babes.
