Having kids curbs marital satisfaction.Researchers at the University of Denver tracked 218 couples over eight years and found that 90 percent reported a decrease in the quality of their marriage once their first child was born. This supports a previous, much larger, study which revealed parents are more depressed than non-parents.
According to Scott Stanley, a psychology professor who worked on the Denver study, most couples experience diminished marital quality over time, but having a baby accelerates the deterioration.
Of course, this is an especially fitting Happy Hour Hero fact, since you're probably drinking because your own field research supports it.

Hi - I was interested to note the change in atitude by the group represented and it reflects I suggest the 'me me' concepts that have pervaded our recent generations - of all take and little giving back in our society - Children are our greatest gifts and giving the love and care to them, brings out the best in us. If we treat them as a hinderance or impedemet they will absorb that negative vibes and the family and spiritual bonding so important is gone for ever and their lives are ruined before they start their magnificent journey of their life. -- We can only wonder at the destruction we cause them........... -
