Amid all the short-lived e-lationships with barely-remembered schoolmates, it seems at least two people have actually made a worthwhile Facebook reconnection.

A 62-year-old U.K. woman had been searching for her estranged son -- who she says was kidnapped as a young child by his Hungarian father -- for 27 years when she had the idea of Googling his name.

To her surprise, she found the 30-year-old's Facebook page and in March made contact with the now father-of-three, who had also been searching for his long-lost British family. After phone calls with the help of an interpreter, Avril Grube and Gavin Paros were finally reunited in person this week.

We wish mother and son the best of luck in rekindling their relationship. Or, at the very least, that they spend a happy few weeks sending each other pokes and pirate invitations before gradually losing interest.
