Legendary comedy troupe Monty Python are marking their 40th-anniversary today.

Their first BBC show 'Monty Python's Flying Circus' debuted on October 5, 1969, and ran for four series. After four movies and hundreds of live shows following the original series Cleese, Idle, Palin et al finally called it quits in the 80s, but occasionally they still get together and run through the parrot sketch. We think just to annoy the suckers who paid a hundred quid or so to attend their last 'farewell' show.

To celebrate 40 years of silly walks, lumberjacks and the Knights Who Say Ni, we've embedded our favourite Python clips below. Let us know which ones you love the best in the comments.
